Step-by-Step Use Cases
🔐 Setup & Auth
-
1Install the app:
• On your Android phone/tablet: tap this Play Store link → tap Install / Update.
• On desktop first: open this opt-in link → join the beta → then open the Play Store link on your phone. -
2Register: open the app, enter your full name as it appears on your health records (first field), then email and password. Your name is used to verify that uploaded documents belong to you.
-
3Existing users — set your name: if you registered before v1.6.0, you'll see a one-time prompt on first login. Enter your full name exactly as it appears on your medical records.
-
4Add a profile photo: tap the account icon (top-right). Tap your avatar → choose Take Photo or Choose from Gallery. Verify your photo appears immediately. Then long-press the avatar to try removing it.
-
5Try biometric lock: minimise the app and reopen it. It should ask for your fingerprint or face recognition before showing any data.
📄 Documents & Uploads
-
6Upload a document with your name on it: tap the + button. Use a lab report or prescription that has your full name. After ~20–30 seconds you should receive a push notification and see the document processed successfully.
-
7Try document validation — non-medical file: tap + and upload a receipt, screenshot, or invoice. You should see a "Non-Medical Document" warning dialog immediately after upload.
-
8Try document validation — name mismatch: upload a document with a different person's name on it. You should see a "Name Mismatch" warning showing the extracted name so you can decide what to do.
-
9Check the review banner: look for the amber "N documents need your review" banner on the home screen. Tap it to navigate to flagged documents.
-
10Try multi-upload: tap + and select multiple files (up to 10) at once from gallery or file picker. Verify all files are queued and processed.
-
11Try camera scan: tap + → Camera. Take a photo of any document page. Confirm it uploads and processes correctly.
-
12View a document detail: tap any processed document to see the original file, AI summary (with structured results table), and extracted records. If it was flagged, verify the coloured banner appears at the top.
-
13Regenerate Insights: on any document detail page, tap the ⋮ menu → Regenerate Insights. Confirm the AI summary refreshes and smart clusters are rebuilt for that document.
-
14Check expiry alerts: if you have a Blood Test or Prescription older than 3–6 months, look for the orange "Attention Needed" banner on the home screen. Tap any row to go directly to that document.
-
15Edit your name: account icon → Edit Name. Change it and re-upload a document to confirm name matching updates correctly.
🧠 AI & Smart Clusters
-
16Explore Smart Clusters: after uploading a few documents, tap the cluster (grid) icon in the home screen top bar.
• Condition tab: all documents grouped by disease (Thyroid, Diabetes, etc.) across all years.
• Episode tab: documents within ±6 days automatically grouped as the same hospital visit.
• Type tab: Blood Tests, Prescriptions, etc. grouped by month.
• All tab: month-level grouping for a full chronological view. -
17Timeline view: in the Clusters screen, tap the timeline icon (top-right) to see a full chronological timeline across all clusters.
-
18View Health Trends: tap the chart icon in the top bar on the home screen. Verify line charts appear for numeric values (e.g. blood glucose, haemoglobin) if you have 2+ documents with those values.
🗂️ Organisation & Search
-
19Try search: tap the magnifier icon and type a word from your document (e.g. a lab name, medication, or diagnosis). Tap a result to navigate directly to that document.
-
20Try category filters: tap the category chips on the home screen (Lab, Prescription, Imaging, etc.) to filter. Then tap the filter icon for a multi-select filter sheet to combine multiple categories.
-
21Add a family member: account icon → Family Profiles → Add Family Member. Enter a name and relation. Upload a document assigned to them and switch to their profile using the chips below the search bar.
🔔 Reminders & Vaccination
-
22Try vaccination reminders: tap the syringe icon in the top bar → browse the WHO/India schedule. Tap any vaccine to set a local push notification reminder for the due date.
-
23Verify notification permission: on Android 12+, confirm the app prompts for exact alarm permission when setting a reminder. Check that the notification fires at the scheduled time.
👨⚕️ Doctor Network
-
24Try the Doctor Network (as a patient):
• Tap the stethoscope icon → Find a Doctor → search by name, specialty, or clinic.
• Tap Link with Doctor to send a request.
• Once active: open a document → Share with Doctor → pick your linked doctor → add an optional message. Toggle "Request Second Opinion" to try that flag. -
25Try Appointment Reminders: from My Doctors, tap the Appointment chip on any active doctor card. Pick a date and time. Verify a push notification is scheduled.
-
26Try Doctor Notes: from My Doctors, tap the Notes chip on any active doctor card. Write a private note. Confirm the note preview appears on the doctor card.
-
27Try the Doctor Network (as a doctor):
• Account icon → Doctor Profile → fill in your details → add your photo → Save.
• Tap the stethoscope icon → Doctor Hub to see patient links and accept/reject pending requests.
• Open a patient's shared document and verify you can view the file and AI summary.
📤 Export & Share
-
28Export Health Summary PDF: account icon → Export Health Summary PDF. Verify a full A4 PDF is generated with your document list and AI insights. Try sharing it via WhatsApp or email.
-
29Share an individual document: open any document → tap the share icon. Confirm you can send it via WhatsApp, email, or another app.
🐛 Reporting Issues

- Device model — e.g. Samsung Galaxy S23, Pixel 8

💡 Tip: Use Android's built-in screen recorder (swipe down → Screen Record) to capture any issue in action. This is the most helpful thing you can send us.
Known Limitations (Beta)
- iOS version not yet available — Android only
- Smart Clusters are built at upload time — existing documents uploaded before v1.6.0 won't have clusters until regenerated (⋮ menu → Regenerate Insights on each document)
- Name matching uses word-overlap — very short names (<3 characters) may not match reliably
- Trends require at least 2 documents with numeric values to display charts
- AI processing requires an active internet connection
- Camera scan files over 10 MB are rejected — use gallery or compress the image first
- Vaccination reminder notifications require exact alarm permission on Android 12+
- Profile photos require camera permission (app will prompt on first use)
- Expiry thresholds are based on upload date — not the date printed on the document
- Doctor Network requires both patient and doctor to use the app; doctors must complete their profile first
⚠️ Note: This is a beta version. Please report any bugs, crashes, or confusing UI to support@cloudnova.one. Your feedback directly improves the app before public launch.
